See Tom Kopriva give a tour of the new YMCA (video).

As a result of a community wide Feasibility Study conducted in 2002, the Board of Directors of the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA determined that the YMCA could better serve the community in the following areas:

  • Expanded programming opportunities to serve more people in better ways.

  • Improved physical fitness areas for adults, children and families.

  • Expanded services to meet the needs of the growing senior population.

  • More opportunities and space for youth and teens to engage in recreation, participate in healthy activities, grow in confidence, and be guided as they journey through adolescence into adulthood.

  • A solid business operation that supports the YMCA Mission to build strong kids, strong families, strong communities.

  • An Expansion and Renovation Project that will provide the community a top notch Regional YMCA bound to become a destination point for our families, our seniors, and most important, our children.

In this chair,
a child is introduced to life-shaping experiences and is helped to grow into a responsible, successful adult. Membership/program fees don’t cover all the costs to support these vital community programs. Your contributions help make it happen.
